2015 Beaune "Teurons" : There is enough reduction present to currently mask the underlying fruit though it does appear to be ripe. Otherwise there is good richness and concentration to the velvet-textured medium weight flavors that possess solid punch on the balanced, long and delicious finale. This should drink reasonably well young if desired. 90 points /2021+
2015 Beaune "Champs Pimont" : (this wasn't produced in 2012, 2013 and 2014 due to hail damage). A cool, pure and attractively fresh nose features notes of red and black cherry along with hints of spice, earth and violet. There is very fine complexity to the more vibrant and mineral-driven flavors that display a saline hint on the admirably persistent finish. Lovely stuff and worth considering. 92 points /2022+
2015 Volnay "En Carelle" : This too is quite aromatically cool and fresh and even a touch more elegant as well with its spicier and more floral-scented nose of mostly liqueur-like blue pinot fruit. The sleek, refined and lacy middle weight flavors possess a subtle minerality and a more refined mouth feel if perhaps not quite the same overall depth. Still this is a really lovely effort and textbook En Carelle. 92 points /2021+
2015 Volnay "Clos de la Chapelle" : (A .55 ha monopole). Elegant floral notes sit atop the red currant and black cherry-scented nose. There is an absolutely gorgeous mouth feel to the beautifully detailed and minerally flavors that are lacy to the point of being delicate yet there is a firm lashing of fine tannins that should permit this beauty to reward up to a decade of cellar time. Lovely juice and very Volnay in style. 93 points /2023+
2015 Pommard "Les Chanlins Vieilles Vignes" : (from a .25 ha parcel). A densely fruited nose combines notes of markedly ripe but fresh aromas of dark pinot fruit, spice, warm earth and a wisp of violet. The elegant yet powerful medium-weight flavors also exude a fine minerality that continues onto the sappy, balanced and beautifully persistent finish. This muscular effort is notably more structured and is going to need at least 6 to 8 years and should ultimately reward 12 to 15. 93 points /2027+
2015 Volnay "Taillepieds" :The whole cluster ferment is evident as there is a hint of herbal tea present on the ripe dark berry fruit liqueur-like aromas that are liberally sprinkled with spice, lilac and violet scents. The admirably pure and mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors are at once succulent yet powerful, all wrapped in a youthfully austere finish. Lovely. (91-94) points /2025+
2015 Pommard "Les Grands Epenots" : An attractively fresh, cool and restrained nose is composed primarily of black fruit liqueur and warm earth nuances. There is a lovely refinement to the seductively textured but well-detailed medium weight flavors that terminate in a tight if slightly dry finish. This may very well successfully age out such that the dryness dissipates with time and my predicted range offers the benefit of the doubt in this regard. (89-92) points /2027+
2015 Corton-Rognet : Reduction presently renders the nose impossible to evaluate. Otherwise there is excellent volume and power to the broad-shouldered flavors that possess fine mid-palate concentration while delivering superb punch on the very firm but not really all that austere finale. This is clearly built-to-age and is absolutely going to need it. (92-94) points /2030+
2015 Corton-Bressandes : Notably ripe yet still fresh and pretty aromas speak of liqueur-like dark berry fruit, earth, game and a floral top note. I very much like the sense of vibrancy present on the more refined but still sizeable big-bodied flavors that are a touch less muscular while still offering ample power and punch on the firm, serious and impressively long finish. Like the Epenots there is a touch of backend dryness but here it is much more subtle and thus I have fewer concerns that it will eventually age out. (92-94) points /2030+
